Getting Started
Set Up Meeting AI Insights
Meeting transcription uses the AI Analysis settings, not the screen-analysis Experts & Prompts page.
- Open Settings (Cmd + 3).
- Choose AI Analysis in the left sidebar.
- Use the AI Insights section to pick the active transcript prompt.
- Start with Give Answer for direct help or Provide Questions for follow-up ideas.
- Press Cmd + Shift + E during a transcript to generate insights from the selected prompt.
Experts & Prompts is for screen analysis: experts, prompt templates, and prompt actions that respond to what is visible on your screen. Meeting transcription prompts live in AI Analysis.
Create Custom AI Insights Prompts
Use custom AI Insights prompts when a meeting needs a specific kind of help.
Example: "Executive Brief"
- Name: Executive Brief.
- Prompt: Summarize the last part of the transcript into decisions, risks, and next steps.
Example: "Interview Coach"
- Name: Interview Coach.
- Prompt: Turn the latest question into a concise answer outline with supporting examples.
Set the Context Window to 0 when the full transcript matters. Use a positive word limit when you only need recent context and want faster responses.
Audio Setup (Hearing the Meeting)
For GhostBro to help, it needs to hear.
- Go to Settings > Transcription Provider.
- Select Deepgram STT for low-latency, high-accuracy real-time transcription.
- Ensure your Audio Source is set correctly:
- Microphone: For in-person meetings.
- System Audio: For Zoom, Teams, or Google Meet calls.
Speaker Notes (Markdown)
Never lose your train of thought. Upload your presentation outline or speaker notes directly into GhostBro.
- Open Settings (Cmd + 3) and navigate to Markdown Notes.
- Upload your
.mddocument (bullets, bold text, and headers are fully supported). - Toggle your notes panel instantly during the meeting with Cmd + 7.
The notes panel uses a semi-transparent glassmorphism design, allowing you to glance at your bullets while staying focused on your audience.

Final Preparation
- Ghost Mode Active: Check your visibility status.
- Audio Source Verified: Test your microphone/system audio.
- AI Insights Prompt Selected: Choose the transcript prompt you want under Settings > AI Analysis.
- Speaker Notes Loaded: Press Cmd + 7 to verify your notes are ready.
- Insight Shortcut Ready: Use Cmd + Shift + E to run the selected prompt on the transcript.
