🔒 Content Protection

GhostBro prevents its own window from being captured during screen shares. Your AI insights remain private even if you share your screen.

🔑 Encrypted Storage

All API keys are encrypted at rest using system-level APIs. They are never stored in plaintext and are decrypted only in memory when needed.

🛡️ Navigation & Popup Security

Unauthorized external navigation and popups are blocked within the app to prevent phishing and malicious redirects, ensuring your session remains secure.

Safe by Design: "Do Not Trust, Check"

At GhostBro, our motto is: "Do not trust, check". Transparency is the foundation of our security. You should know exactly what happens to your data.

💡 How we handle your data:

  • Authentication Only: GhostBro uses our servers only for authentication and subscription validation.
  • Direct API Communication: All transcription and AI requests are sent directly from your machine to your chosen provider (OpenAI, Deepgram, etc.). We never "man-in-the-middle" your meeting data.
  • Local Processing: If you use Local Whisper, your audio never leaves your computer.

How to verify GhostBro's traffic:

We encourage you to monitor the app's network requests. Here is how you can check for yourself:

  1. Open Developer Tools: Go to settings panel, under Security tab, click on "Show Developer Tools" flag.
  2. Select the Network Tab: This shows every request the app makes in real-time.
  3. Start a Session: Record or start an AI query.
  4. Inspect the Destination: You will see requests going to api.openai.com or api.deepgram.com, and none containing your audio or transcripts sent to GhostBro servers.
